If you like the feeling of old-time golf this is the course for you! Between how the fairways wind their way through and around the old-growth evergreens and the diminutive size of the greens, players will feel like they are playing the Northwest's version of the Olympic Club in San Francisco.
Fort Lewis has 27 holes and is rated 6th amongst the nations military courses. So if you like classic-style golf courses at old-time rates, Fort Lewis should be your next round.

This is the best Jack Frei design here in the Northwest.
It is a beautiful golf course on a beautiful piece of property. It is also a good stern test of golf.
One thing makes McCormick Woods play so difficult is the fact that no two fairways lay next to each other - each of the two 9's loop out and back to the clubhouse. This means that a player's errant shot will never find adjoining fairway.
McCormick Woods has fantastic majestic clubhouse. The greens are superb; with plenty of size and undulation.
An outing to McCormick Woods is highly recommended.
